The attack got faster. The defense did not. Come fix that with us.

We build AI agents for cyber defense. The attack got faster, the tooling for defenders did not, and the gap between them is widening every month. We are looking for people who find that unacceptable — and want to do something serious about it.

the right time to work on this problem
Not five years ago. Now.
Why this, why now

The threat changed. The tools did not.

AI collapsed the cost of building a working exploit to near zero. Any attacker, at any skill level, can now move at nation-state pace. The same shift that made developers ten times more productive made breaking into systems ten times faster too.

On the defensive side, almost nothing changed. Security teams still route tickets through the same tools, wait on the same approval chains, and patch at the same pace they always have. They are playing the same game with the same equipment against an opponent who just upgraded everything.

“We are not building AI security theater. We are building the thing that should have existed five years ago and now urgently needs to.”
How we work
01

Ownership is not a perk. It is the job.

We are early. There is no playbook for most of what we are doing. The people who thrive here pick up a problem and don't put it down until it is solved — without waiting to be told exactly how. If you need that kind of direction, this is probably not the right place.

02

The bar is high because the problem is.

Security failures have real consequences — for companies, for the people who work at them, for the organizations that depend on them. We are not building a productivity tool. We are building something that determines whether our customers stay safe. That reality shapes who we hire and how we work.

03

Small teams move differently.

We are a small team and intend to stay that way longer than most companies do — not because we can't grow, but because we've seen what happens to quality when you hire for headcount instead of capability. Everyone here is senior. Everyone ships. There are no passengers.

04

Speed is not the opposite of getting it right.

We move fast, but we build for real use — not prototypes that collapse when a customer actually depends on them. Good judgment about when to go fast and when to slow down is one of the things we look for most. Anyone can move fast. Fewer people know when not to.

What you get

Competitive salary + equity

Top-of-market cash compensation and meaningful equity. You are building this with us — you should own part of it.

Remote-first

Work from wherever you do your best work. We care about what you ship, not where you sit when you ship it.

Health, dental & vision

Comprehensive medical coverage for you and your dependents. We cover the majority of premiums.

Flexible time off

Unlimited PTO with a minimum we actually enforce. Rest is part of doing good work. We mean that.

Team offsites

We get the whole team together in person a few times a year. Good work happens remotely. Great relationships need a room.

401(k) with matching

We match contributions from day one. No cliff, no waiting period.

Who belongs here

AI & ML

People who have shipped serious AI systems — agents, reasoning pipelines, evals. The real thing, not demos. Experience at frontier AI labs is something we pay close attention to. You understand what it means to deploy AI where being wrong has real consequences.

Security research

People who understand how exploits work — vulnerabilities, attack paths, and what real defense looks like. You know the difference between a theoretical risk and one that will get your customer breached next Tuesday.

Engineering

People who build things that hold up: hard problems, real scale, production systems that have to work. You care about correctness as much as speed, with a track record of both.

Product

People who cut through security complexity. Security uses complexity as an excuse for bad product decisions. You know how to build things practitioners actually want to use — not things that impress in a demo.

Open roles

Where we need you most.

Don't see your role?

We are always interested in exceptional people across every function. Send us a note and we will read it.

FAQ
Do I need a security background to apply? +
Not for every role. We need deep security expertise in research and some engineering positions, but product, GTM, operations, and many engineering roles do not require it. What we care about most is whether you are exceptional at what you do.
How does your interview process work? +
We keep it short and direct: an intro call, a focused technical or skills assessment relevant to the role, and a conversation with the founders. We respect your time and aim to move quickly. Most processes complete in two to three weeks.
Is the company remote? +
We are remote-friendly and hire across time zones. We come together as a full team a few times a year. We care about output and craft, not where you work from.
How early-stage are you? +
Early enough that what you build now will define the company. We have paying customers, a working product, and real traction. The foundational decisions are still being made — this is not a maintenance role anywhere on the team.
I don't see a role that matches my background. Should I still reach out? +
Yes. We read every note. Tell us what you do and why this problem interests you. If the timing is right, or we are about to open something that fits, we will reach out. If not, we keep good people on file.
What does the first 90 days look like? +
You will own real work from week one. There is no extended onboarding ramp — you will be close to customers, close to the product, and close to the founders. The best way to learn here is to be in it.
